Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Puyallup, WA | Acute Care (Level III Trauma Center)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Mids/Nights (shift start times of 1500 or 1900)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department averaging approximately 200 patients per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory emergencies, and adult psychiatric presentations
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access and management, and administer drips and medications including cardiac medications and procedural sedation
• Administer blood products and support stroke response including TNK administration
• Accurately document all patient care activities using the Epic electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, with the ability to flex based on acuity and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
• Recent Epic experience required
• Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TNK administration
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity trauma environment
