Location

Puyallup, WA | Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days/Mids (0700, 1100 start times) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department seeing an average of 200 patients per day, with a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage a wide variety of patient presentations including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, mental health, and adult psych cases
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access and management, medication administration including drips, and procedural sedation support
• Administer blood products and cardiac medications; TNK administration experience preferred
• Document accurately and efficiently using the Epic electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, with the ability to flex based on acuity and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TNK administration
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience working in a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma center environment
• Background managing high geriatric populations including falls and STEMI presentations
