    THE ROLE

    Our client operates a 55-bed Emergency Department serving more than 49,000 patients annually as a primary stroke center and cardiac referral center. This Nurse Manager will oversee daily ED operations and approximately 98 FTEs, leading a team of 2 Assistant Nurse Managers, a Lead Emergency Room Technician, and 2 Educators, and reporting to the Director. The role is focused on driving clinical excellence, staff development, and operational performance in a high-volume emergency setting.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and coordinate 24/7 Emergency Department operations
    • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to achieve exceptional patient outcomes
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
    • Monitor quality, safety, staffing, and financial performance
    • Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives, applying lean principles
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on compassionate, patient-centered care
    • Lead change management and process improvement initiatives
    • Oversee approximately 98 FTEs, including 2 Assistant Nurse Managers, a Lead Emergency Room Technician, and 2 Educators

    REQUIREMENTS

    Must-Have

    • Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility to obtain one)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • 3 5 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills preferred
    • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities
