Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Level 3)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Blocked Weekends | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Floating, Holiday, On-Call, Callback, and Charge responsibilities per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department managing more than 100,000 visits annually
• Care for a diverse patient population within a Level I trauma center environment
• Assist with boarder patient management as needed
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of patient assessment and care
• Float, respond to on-call and callback needs, and assume charge responsibilities per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NY license required — no other state licenses accepted)
• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience
• Previous travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity or Level I trauma center setting
• Comfort with charge nurse responsibilities in a fast-paced ED environment
