Contract | Night Shift | Weekend and Holiday Rotation

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state practice acts.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care; develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care including patient and family instruction.
• Document care according to established standards and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
• Participate in department performance improvement activities, unit practice decisions, shared governance, and peer review processes.

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current PALS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• TNCC or TNS certification required.

• Prior experience working in a high-volume emergency room setting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical expertise and guidance across units in support of longitudinal patient care plans.
