Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving all patient populations at approximately 230 visits per day
• Perform general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
• Chart and document using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
• Maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio across general ED, a separate pediatric pod, and a separate Acute Mental Health area
• Float as needed to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) and the Acute Mental Health Unit (ED Psych Observation)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• AHA-certified BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification strongly preferred
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a high-volume, pod-based Emergency Department
• Familiarity with EPIC – ASAP charting system
