Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, accurate documentation, and ongoing monitoring across a diverse all-ages patient population
• Execute general ED nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
• Deliver patient and family education and apply critical thinking in fast-paced emergency care situations
• Chart and document using EPIC – ASAP EMR system
• Float within the department as needed, including to the pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
• Ability to maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Prior experience with EPIC – ASAP EMR system
