Job Title

Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Nights & Every Other Weekend (36 hrs.)

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed pod-based Emergency Department serving approximately 230 visits per day
  • Perform general ED nursing skills including patient assessment, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC ASAP EMR
  • Deliver care across all patient populations, including pediatric and acute mental health patients in dedicated pods
  • Maintain a 1:4 clinician-to-patient ratio and exercise strong critical thinking and patient education skills
  • Float to other areas as needed and participate in occasional day shift rotation when requested
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
  • AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Proficiency with general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, and splinting
  • Ability to float and participate in low-frequency day shift rotation when requested
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
  • Prior experience with EPIC ASAP charting system
