Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 19-bed Emergency Department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with adjusted ratios for ICU or step-down level patients
• Care for a wide variety of patient populations ranging from pediatric to vulnerable adult patients across varying acuity levels
• Utilize facility systems for charting, medication administration, and IV pump management
• Collaborate with charge nurses, break nurses, and interdisciplinary team members who are available throughout each shift
• Work scheduled shifts on a rotating basis, including every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication administration systems and Solaris IV pumps
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center environment
