Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room

Location

San Jose, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 12 Weeks | Shifts available: 11:00 AM–11:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | Expected every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 36-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio (critical care patients at 1:1 or 2:1)
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient management
• Operate Philips equipment in accordance with unit protocols
• Support stroke and STEMI center functions within the Emergency Department
• Collaborate as part of a varied care team including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters
• Maintain active PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• Minimum 3–5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• Experience with Meditech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in an Emergency Department
• Prior travel or interim nursing experience working in California
• Strong team-player mentality with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
