Travel: Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department - Nights
Location
Scranton, Pennsylvania
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac monitoring and interpretation in a 21-bed Emergency Department setting
- Administer medications including cardiac medications and manage IV insertion and lab draws
- Perform Foley catheter insertion, vital signs monitoring, and thorough assessment documentation
- Conduct point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 depending on assignment area within the ED
- Float to other units as required per facility floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Pennsylvania
- Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and NRP certifications required
- Emergency Department clinical experience
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience with cardiac medication management and interpretation in a high-acuity ED environment
