    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Seattle, Washington, 98101!

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Seattle, WA | Acute Care / Emergency Department

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 66 patients per day, maintaining a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage a diverse patient population including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, and a heavy behavioral health/psychosis population; rare pediatric cases are treated and transferred
    • Administer and monitor common drips including insulin, cardiac, sedation, and other critical drips
    • Perform lab draws; phlebotomy may assist during high-volume or difficult-stick situations
    • Conduct or participate in triage for candidates with triage experience; ER holds are intermixed within the department with the ED RN serving as primary nurse
    • Collaborate with ED techs, physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff; travelers may be considered for charge nurse responsibilities, particularly on night shifts, if willing
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license eligible to practice in Washington State
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Valid Driver's License required at time of submittal
    • Minimum of one year of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Every other weekend availability required; expected to work some holidays
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience, ideally having completed one to two assignments
    • Strong behavioral health experience given the department's heavy behavioral health patient population
    • Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems; RNs are expected to monitor telemetry alongside monitor techs
    • Experience with triage in a fast-paced emergency setting
