Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics in a high-volume ER environment (46 rooms, average daily census of 135)
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, delivering timely and accurate assessments, interventions, and documentation
• Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for documentation and medication management
• Float as needed, potentially to a sister campus location
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Adhere to holiday work expectations per facility policy; travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests may be made post-offer or onsite, including during orientation week
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within required deadlines to avoid start date delays
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients
