Travel RN – Emergency Department (Evenings)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
- Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
- Perform physical care duties including lifting, pushing, and transferring patients as required
Required Qualifications- Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be indicated on resume
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- TNCC certification required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date (candidates may be submitted without but must obtain before starting)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with trauma and pediatric emergency patients
- High-acuity emergency department experience in a facility seeing 200+ patients per day
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
