    Job Title

    Travel RN – Emergency Department (Evenings)

    Location

    Springfield, Missouri

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
    • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
    • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
    • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
    • Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
    • Perform physical duties including standing and walking for most of the shift, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs, and pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
    • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be indicated on resume
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • TNCC certification required
    • NIHSS certification required prior to start date (submissions accepted without, but must be obtained before assignment begins)
    • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Trauma and pediatric emergency experience preferred
    • Experience in a high-volume environment (200+ patients per day) and high-acuity setting preferred
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
