Travel RN – Emergency Department (Evenings)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Evening Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
- Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
- Perform physical care duties including lifting, pushing, and repositioning patients as needed
Required Qualifications- Current RN License – must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be indicated on resume
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- TNCC certification required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date (submissions accepted without, but must be obtained before assignment begins)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with trauma and pediatric emergency patients
- High-acuity experience in a high-volume environment (200+ patients per day)
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited for a busy urban trauma environment
