Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 07:00–19:00 | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week (must be indicated at time of submission) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
• Perform physical duties including standing and walking for most of the shift; lifting, pushing, and transferring patients; push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet criteria for eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA only — required prior to start
• TNCC required
• NIHSS — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be clearly indicated on resume
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for assignments spanning November 1–April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma and pediatric emergency patients
• Background in high-volume environments (200+ patients/day) and high-acuity care
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, urban trauma center environment
• Personality traits that align well with this unit: determined, decisive, and flexible
