Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving approximately 14,000 patient visits per year
Perform prompt triage and screening of patients upon arrival to determine severity of condition and appropriate course of treatment
Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver timely, high-quality emergency care
Maintain readiness to work holiday blocks as scheduled; travelers are expected to work one holiday block (Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day, including the associated weekend) if needed
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
Active Vermont RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be submitted with profile
Active American Heart Association BLS — must be in hand at time of submission
Active American Heart Association ACLS — must be in hand at time of submission
Active American Heart Association PALS — must be in hand at time of submission
Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of current ED experience in a hospital setting
Emergency Department Skills Checklist current within 1 year — required document
One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment — required document
Reliable personal vehicle required for this assignment
All scheduling requests and requested time off (no more than 5 days) must be submitted at the time of profile upload; requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
Block scheduling will not be considered for this need
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
