Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Department (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (18:00–06:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Third Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
  • Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
  • Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with established guidelines, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and applicable standards of care
  • Perform duties consistent with the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and assisting with patient lifting and turning
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (inpatient only); trauma experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
  • NIHSS and TNCC certifications required
  • Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 through April 1
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
