Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days/Evenings | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Shift hours ranging from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM to 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
- Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
- Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team while maintaining a clean and safe environment; may float in rotation including as a sitter
Required Qualifications- Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
- Active BLS certification
- Active ACLS certification
- Active NIHSS certification
- Active TNCC certification
- Must practice within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable unit-specific standards of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
- Familiarity with evidence-based procedures and current clinical workflows in an emergency department environment
