Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice.
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
Conduct holistic, ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes.
Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner.
Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team while maintaining a clean and safe environment per hospital and unit policies.
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure required.
Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards.
Ability to float as a sitter and participate in rotation floats, including to an alternate campus.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care nursing setting.
Demonstrated ability to delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
