Assess patients presenting for emergency care and triage based on history, physical assessment, and chief complaint.
Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients, including medication administration, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, and ongoing treatments as prescribed by a physician.
Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment throughout patient care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by a physician and provide wound care including cleaning and bandaging.
Document all care information concisely, accurately, and in the appropriate format in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree, bachelor's degree, higher-level degree, or diploma from a professional nursing educational program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Must have passed the NCLEX and hold a current, active, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license from a U.S. state, territory, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience, with at least one (1) year preferred in an Emergency Room setting.
Current certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Ability to lift 20–50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods; manual dexterity and fine motor skills required.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
One (1) or more years of direct Emergency Room nursing experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Experience working with and demonstrating cultural sensitivity toward diverse patient populations.
