Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma in Yuma, AZ

Job Title: Emergency Room RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Duration: Full-Time Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience - Experience in Trauma Level 1 or 2 within the last 2 years - Ability to read telemetry strips Description: The Emergency Room RN will work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires handling various emergency needs. The facility treats approximately 200 patients daily. The nurse will work with a ratio of 1:5 for medical cases and 1:6 for fast track cases. Security personnel are present in-house 24/7. There are 52 beds and 4 trauma bays in the emergency department. The department includes 6 fast track beds and a quick look triage area. Experience with gunshot wounds and stabbings is a bonus. Respiratory therapy services are available 24/7 within the department. Dedicated X-ray and CT services are on-site. Emergency department technicians are responsible for lab draws. Weekend shifts will be required four times in a four-week block. Holiday shifts will typically be two out of five, including eves. Shared scheduling with other sites may occur, scheduled ahead of time. The department utilizes modified self-scheduling. Navy blue scrubs are the required attire.
