Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN licensed Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - BLS, ACLS, PALS Description: On-call position with one weekend a month and one weekday. The unit has six procedure rooms and thirteen prep/recovery bays. There are twelve staff members on the unit. Day shift consists of eight nurses and four techs. Patient ratios are 1:1 in procedure and 2:1 in prep/recovery. The equipment used in this unit is endoscopy-focused. The EMR system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. The unit cares for both adults and pediatrics. Candidates with endoscopy skills will be prioritized. Preferred qualifications include the ability to float to other areas as needed. The dress code includes royal blue scrubs. Unit guidelines include no phones, minimal call-ins, and no ear buds. Weekday and weekend on-call shifts are required.
