Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse in the specialty of Endoscopy to join our team. The role involves providing exceptional care to patients across various adult and geriatric populations.

Shift Details

• 2 shifts of 10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• 2 shifts of 8 hours (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
• 36-hour work week

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; first-time applicants are welcome.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.

Clinical Skills Required

• ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) experience is essential.
• Experience with ERCP utilizing Spy Glass.
• Proficient in Bronchoscopy, EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) Procedures, Colonoscopy, and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD).
• Experience with ION procedures is also required.

Work Environment

• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2
• 3 rooms and 11 beds with an average daily census of 20 patients.
• Utilization of unit systems: Pyxis and Epic.
• Scrub color required: Navy Blue.

Scheduling Requirements

• Availability for 2-3 weekends during the contract period.
• One weekday call and one weekend call required every 6 weeks.
• Travelers must work on major holidays as follows:
  • One major holiday: expected to work
  • Two major holidays: expected to work both
  • Three major holidays: expected to work at least two
• Major holidays include: New Year’s Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.

Compliance Requirements

Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start. Non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Orientation

The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours will be determined by the length of the contract.

Locals Accepted

Local candidates are welcome and will receive the same rate as travelers.
