Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CGRN Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Charting system experience required (specific system will be discussed) Description: Responsible for administering conscious sedation and airway management. Experience with balloon dilators and bronchoscopy procedures. Demonstrated ability to circulate for colonoscopy and EGD procedures. Proficient in using electrosurgical units and managing endobronchial ultrasound procedures. Involvement in specialty procedures such as ERCP and esophageal varices banding. Monitor patients during conscious sedation and manage opioid analgesics as needed. Capable of pre and post-procedure care for patients. Responsible for starting and maintaining IVs. Ability to perform EKG/ECG and interpret/manage dysrhythmias. Utilization of sclerotherapy and specimen handling/labeling practices. Expected to float to other departments as necessary. Must be willing to work during major holidays. References required covering previous experience within the last three years. Compliance with all facility protocols and procedures is essential. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care is expected. Housing options should be researched as availability may be limited.
