Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Endoscopy to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures, including but not limited to ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy. The successful candidate will be proficient in performing Moderate Sedation and managing patients throughout all levels of care including PACU, Phase I, and Phase II recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Moderate Sedation for various procedures while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
• Conduct RN-driven assessments using the Ramsay Sedation Scale to maintain patients within targeted sedation ranges.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients, including recovery support in PACU settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall well-being throughout the procedural and recovery phases.
• Stay beyond scheduled shifts as necessary to complete patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma center or equivalent hospital experience.
• Demonstrated experience in recovering patients from sedated GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system.
• Current Registered Nurse license; pending Wisconsin license is acceptable with submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Passing of a Telemetry test is required prior to starting the role.

Schedule

This position includes 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Night call may be required.
