Registered NursePosition Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care to a designated group of patients during an assigned shift. The RN utilizes the nursing process, clinical judgment, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role practices in accordance with established standards of care and the core values of the Division of Nursing. Reports to the Unit Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer and evaluate nursing care using evidence‑based practices
- Identify patient and family education needs and provide appropriate teaching
- Accurately document patient care in a timely and compliant manner
- Respond effectively to emergent situations following established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Maintain compliance with hospital, nursing, and unit policies and procedures

- Participate in quality improvement, staff development, and continuing education
