Location: Northridge, CA 91325-4105
Weekly Pay: $2800 – $3000
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts (Variable | Typically between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) + First to Float
Call: Required (Weekdays, Weekends & Holidays)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – GI/Endoscopy for a travel assignment in Northridge, CA. This role is ideal for nurses with strong procedural experience in endoscopy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural unit.

Unit Details
  • Procedure Rooms: 1
  • Cases/Procedures per Day: ~4
  • Charge Nurse: Not assigned
  • Floating: May float to Short Stay Unit
  • Orientation: Provided
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with GI/Endoscopy procedures including:
    • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
    • Colonoscopy
    • ERCP
    • Sigmoidoscopy
    • Biopsies
    • PEG tube placements
    • Hemostasis/control of bleeding
  • Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
  • Administer medications and sedation as ordered
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Call Requirements
  • Weekday Call: 1–2 shifts per week
  • Weekend Call: Minimum 1 full weekend (Sat & Sun)
  • Call Shifts:
    • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
    • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Must be available for holiday call coverage as needed
✅ Required Qualifications
  • Active California RN License
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • Prior GI/Endoscopy nursing experience
  • Strong procedural and sedation monitoring skills

  • Experience in high-acuity or hospital-based endoscopy units
  • Ability to work independently in a small unit setting
  • Flexibility to float and adapt to varying patient volumes
