Travel RN – GI/Endoscopy | Northridge, CALocation: Northridge, CA 91325-4105
Weekly Pay: $2800 – $3000
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts (Variable | Typically between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) + First to Float
Call: Required (Weekdays, Weekends & Holidays)
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – GI/Endoscopy for a travel assignment in Northridge, CA. This role is ideal for nurses with strong procedural experience in endoscopy and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural unit.
Unit Details- Procedure Rooms: 1
- Cases/Procedures per Day: ~4
- Charge Nurse: Not assigned
- Floating: May float to Short Stay Unit
- Orientation: Provided
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with GI/Endoscopy procedures including:
- EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
- Colonoscopy
- ERCP
- Sigmoidoscopy
- Biopsies
- PEG tube placements
- Hemostasis/control of bleeding
- Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
- Administer medications and sedation as ordered
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Call Requirements- Weekday Call: 1–2 shifts per week
- Weekend Call: Minimum 1 full weekend (Sat & Sun)
- Call Shifts:
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Must be available for holiday call coverage as needed
✅ Required Qualifications- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Prior GI/Endoscopy nursing experience
- Strong procedural and sedation monitoring skills
⭐ Preferred Qualifications- Experience in high-acuity or hospital-based endoscopy units
- Ability to work independently in a small unit setting
- Flexibility to float and adapt to varying patient volumes
