Travel Nurse RN - Endoscopy - $2,818 per week in Arlington, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Gastrointestinal Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have an active Virginia nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with EPIC charting system preferred - Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient age groups Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Gastrointestinal Lab. This position involves caring for patients in both pre-op and phase 2 recovery settings. The daily patient census ranges from 35 to 50. Usual procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS. The nurse will perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage IV insertions in pre-op. During phase 2 recovery, the nurse will monitor vital signs, perform Aldrete scoring, review discharge instructions, and remove IVs. The setting is predominantly outpatient, but inpatient care is also provided. No specialized equipment is required for pre-op and post-op tasks. Travelers must maintain compliance with smoke and nicotine-free facility policies. Expect to work some holidays during the assignment. Time off requests are approved at the manager's discretion. Candidates must provide a statement of EPIC experience and may be required to attend training as necessary.
