Job Title: Office Nurse (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Gastroenterology Duration: Full Time Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM - Noon (on Rotation) Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) issued by New Hampshire Board of Nursing verified via Nursys Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification Must-Have: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment Experience in nursing (New Grads not accepted) Description: The Office Nurse (RN) prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. Responsibilities are carried out independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice and hospital policies. Utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. Educates and directs other clinical support staff in the performance of acts delegated to them for the implementation of the therapeutic plan of care. Patient Care: Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborates with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Documentation and Reporting: Maintains accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Reports any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members. Medication Administration: Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols. Patient Education: Educates patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness. Support and Advocacy: Offers emotional support and advocates for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care. Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Complies with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment. Continuous Learning: Stays updated on medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development activities. Other duties as assigned.
