Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our outpatient surgery center. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting surgical teams by providing high-quality patient care and assisting during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during various surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Pre-operative and post-operative management of patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
• Float to the main operating room as needed for additional support.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Current Massachusetts state licensure required; conditional licenses will be considered.

Shift Information

This position will follow a day shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the requirement to be on call as needed. Flexibility to float to the main operating room is also expected.
