Job Summary: Telehealth Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Illinois. This position involves providing care within a telemetry and medical-surgical setting, contributing to patient management and interdisciplinary team activities. The role requires flexibility to float across local campuses as needed, supporting staffing and patient care demands.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Two years of previous clinical experience; at least one travel contract completed preferred; Illinois license required; drivers license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within the past year, license verification, and one supervisory reference required at the time of submission; must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility unless located in Madison, which accepts local candidates with a 10% rate reduction.
Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
Submission requirements include documentation of required licenses, certifications, work history, skills checklist, references, and proof of taxable address.
This unit has historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio; filling vacancies with travelers helps improve staffing levels.
Orientation schedule begins on 08/24/2026, with multiple sessions throughout the year.
The assignment allows for up to 48 hours weekly guarantee and duration options of 8, 10, or 13 weeks.
