Job Summary: Telemetry Medical Surgical Float (Telemery MS Float) in a healthcare facility on the days shift. This role involves providing nursing care within the interdisciplinary team, with opportunities to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The position requires quick candidate interviews, primarily via phone calls or text messages from an area code 405 contact. The assignment supports maintaining optimal patient-to-staff ratios and involves working scheduled orientation and holiday shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Two years of previous nursing experience, at least one travel contract completed preferred. Valid state license for Illinois, with Iowa license also required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA). Driver's license, work history/resume, skills checklist completed within the past year, license verification, and at least one supervisory reference at time of submission are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chest tubes, fem stops, trachs, central lines, drains, and CBI. Familiarity with medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including some titration.
Additional Information: Orientation scheduled periodically starting in January 2026. The assignment duration is from October 5, 2026, through January 4, 2027, with up to 48 hours weekly guarantee. Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility. This position involves working every other weekend and may require working 1-2 out of three major summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
