Job Summary Pediatric Float Nurse Pediatric Specialty Location: Unknown. This role involves providing specialized care across pediatric units, including Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties. The position requires the ability to float across various units and ensure high-quality patient care during night shifts.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Iowa (IA) license or compact/multistate license, Pediatric and/or Oncology experience within the previous 18 months, Pediatric experience required. Skills checklist must be specific to pediatric or oncology discipline. Current BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and APHON (American Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) documentation are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience within the previous 18 months and experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the last 12 months.
Additional Information: Must be willing to float to Emergency Department to care for inpatient holds. Must have completed one travel contract within the previous 18 months. No first-time travelers. Orientation begins on 1/4.
