GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona.

Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday required)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between units of similar or lower acuity, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, observation floor, and holding areas (Cath Lab, ER, observation floor)
• Floating between two campuses located 9 miles apart is possible; notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring in place
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Sim Lab evaluation on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Units include CV Tele B3A (32 beds), Neuro Tele A3 (28 beds), MedSurg C5 (32 beds), and MedSurg B2C (29 beds)
• Common diagnoses include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neuro post-surgical, CVAs post TPA, ortho, surgical, and oncology patients
• No ventilator management required
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Spectralink phones with attached call lights used on MedSurg units

This acute care health system operates multiple campuses providing comprehensive medical and surgical services. The facility includes specialized units for cardiovascular telemetry, neurology, medical-surgical, orthopedic, and oncology care. The organization supports a robust team structure with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, patient care technicians, and SWAT nurses available to assist staff. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available around the clock to support patient care across all units.
