Overview

Monadnock Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Gastroenterology Associates team. This permanent day-shift position is designed for a clinician who values patient-centered care and clinical excellence within a community hospital setting. As an integral part of our GI department, you will work alongside skilled specialists to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with digestive health concerns.
Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support: Assist with gastroenterology procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure recovery monitoring, identifying potential complications and intervening as necessary.
  • Education: Provide clear instructions to patients and their families regarding procedure preparation, digestive disease management, and discharge protocols.
  • Collaboration: Partner with gastroenterologists, technicians, and administrative staff to maintain a smooth clinical workflow and high standards of care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, ensuring all clinical data and procedure notes are documented according to hospital policy.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire or a compact state.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification must be obtained within a defined period of hire.
  • Experience: Prior experience in gastroenterology, endoscopy, or acute care settings is preferred, though we value clinical versatility and a willingness to specialize.
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced procedural environment.
