Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory Technologist in a flexible Endoscopy/Gastroenterology (GI) Laboratory setting. This role involves assisting during endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, EGD, and Bronchoscopy, including room preparation, equipment sterilization, and patient support. The position is scheduled for weekday days, with variable hours, providing valuable experience in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Weekday days shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with variable hours, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Surgical Technician graduate from a formal training program or one year experience as a GI Lab technician, BLS (AHA) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience, license to submit, and location requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsible for preparing the room and equipment prior to endoscopic procedures, assisting during procedures, and handling sterilization afterward. Common cases include ERCP, EGD, and Bronchoscopy. The organization can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter durations. Charting is completed in Cerner system.
