Job Summary Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) Specialist in a hospital setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care tailored to patients with gastrointestinal and related complex conditions, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC). One (1) year of nursing experience required; two (2) years experience needed if outpatient; one (1) year experience if med/surge.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Additional Information: The nurse will handle a variety of clinical duties including pre-op, post-op, burn, wound, GI acute care, and plastics. Emphasis on care of patients with complex problems, patient assessment, discharge planning, and participation in performance improvement activities.
