Job Summary: Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) at a healthcare facility in the region. This position involves working in a preoperative and phase II post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), with the ability to float to a sister facility as needed. The role requires a skilled professional to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical protocols and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
Required Qualifications: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in hand, with a minimum of 3 years' experience. Valid state license required; compact license accepted if in hand at submission.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a preoperative and phase II PACU setting; familiarity with Epic charting system; previous work at a healthcare facility involving GI procedures.
Additional Information: The role involves administering conscious sedation, airway management, endoscopic procedures (including colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, and EBUS), specimen handling, monitoring sedation levels, and managing emergent situations. The clinician will be informed at least 24 hours in advance of orientation and shift assignments. Flexibility to float to a sister facility is required. Candidates should include two references covering the last three years and respond to pre-submission questions regarding prior work at a healthcare facility in the region.
