Job Description
Join the Magnet-designated nursing team at Stormont Vail Health for a rewarding day-shift assignment on 4 Pavilion (Hematology & Oncology). On this specialized 21-bed unit, you will deliver comprehensive, compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment for hematological and oncological conditions, inpatient chemotherapy, and palliative care alongside a supportive interprofessional team. Practice within an environment committed to clinical safety, high reliability, and continuous professional growth.
Requirements
1+ years of recent clinical experience in an acute care nursing setting (no first-time travelers)
Active Kansas (KS) State License or Compact/Multi-State License (unencumbered)
Active AHA BLS Certification
Floating flexibility to other inpatient Med/Surg and post-surgical units as needed
Day 1 essential clinical competencies in acute care, hematology/oncology patient management, and Epic EHR charting (Navy Blue scrubs required)
Preferred Qualifications
Active Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC preferred)
Direct clinical nursing experience in an inpatient Oncology/Hematology unit or outpatient infusion center
Systems knowledge and proficiency with Epic EHR charting (test-out option available)
Level 1 Job ID #TRS---19510. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
