Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) Experience: 1 year Home Health experience required. License: Valid Driver's License and proof of Insurance required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Charting experience with Homecare Homebase required. Description: Home Health Services serving various areas. Traveling nurses will serve patients in multiple locations within a designated radius. Typical caseload involves seeing an average of 6-7 patients per day, with a total of 30 visits per week. Admissions are weighted, with an expectation of completing 2 admissions per day. Patient types include adults aged 18 and over. Common diagnoses include wound care, wound vacs, catheter management, feeding tubes, IV infusions, diabetes management, heart failure, and complex medication management. Required skills include infection control practices, critical thinking, catheter insertion, and drainage management. Charting skills using Homecare Homebase and familiarity with Oasis are necessary. Candidates must have the ability to drive, occasionally at night. Support is provided within the department through leadership, LPNs, CNAs, and case management. Technology used includes EMR systems for documentation and communication. Scrub color is navy. Nurses will schedule patient visits in advance, and cancellations do not count toward visit expectations. A company phone will be provided for documentation and patient communication.
