Travel Nurse RN - Home Health - $2,168 per week in Calverton, MD

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active Maryland or Compact license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Home Health experience preferred HCHB experience preferred Description: Minimum of 6 points of care per day. No weekends. No overtime. Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Types of cases include all diagnoses discharges from hospitals, medical offices, and skilled nursing facilities. First-timers are accepted. BLS certification is required. No on-call requirement. Block scheduling accommodations are open for Monday through Friday. Local candidates are accepted. Candidates must be nicotine-free as this is a tobacco-free facility. A positive nicotine screen will result in cancellation. Skills required include: Admission assessment. Adult home health care. Management of blood glucose and glucometer. Care and management of peripheral IVs, central lines, or ports. Case management. Cast, brace, and immobilizer device care. Chest tube management. Clinical assessment documentation. Colostomy and ileostomy care. Coordination of services. Discharge planning due to safety or non-compliance. Drain management. Feeding tube care and management, including G-tube site care. Indwelling insulin pump management. Infection control precautions. Medication administration and assessment. Monitoring chemotherapy. Utilization and teaching of nebulizers. NG tube management and care. Nutritional assessment. OASIS documentation. Obtaining vital signs. Oxygen safety and administration. Pain assessment and management. Palliative symptom management. Phlebotomy skills. Care of ports. Post amputation care. Management of AV fistulas or shunts. Execution of post-death protocols. Care following total joint replacement. Pressure ulcer prevention and management. Recertification and resumption of care processes. Routine visits and management of significant change in condition.
