Travel Nurse RN - Home Health - $2,213 per week in Ladson, SC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Hospice Clinical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: One year of professional nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. Home health experience is desired. License: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or hold a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized compact state. Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Must-Have: Own transportation to visit patients' homes. Description: The Registered Nurse's primary function is to plan, provide, supervise, and coordinate care to patients with various injuries, diseases, and compromised health states. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive skilled nursing services to qualified patients in their homes to achieve the stated goals and objectives of the agency. The nurse works with minimum daily supervision or support while performing interdependent practice in the field. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates comprehensive physical assessment skills. Demonstrates ability to implement the nursing process and principles of teaching and learning. Demonstrates good organizational and time management techniques. Demonstrates competency and skills appropriate to the specialty area, i.e., IV Therapy, Pediatrics, etc. Competency and verification of skills may be required when applying for specialty practice. Contacts include patient/family interactions in the home and various community settings. Frequent standing and walking are required. Frequent lifting and moving patients are necessary. Intermittent lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs may occur. Intermittent pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs may be required. Frequent use of finger and hand dexterity is needed. Frequent reaching with hands and arms is necessary. Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be needed. Frequent driving is required. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range are necessary. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue may occur. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases, and conditions common to a healthcare environment is present. The ability to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours is required. The ability to read and comprehend is essential. Possible exposure to unclean environments, toxic substances, pharmaceutical preparations, hazardous and unsafe driving conditions, and other conditions common to community healthcare is present.
