Description:
Coordinates and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders.
Responsible for applying the nursing process competently as per agency policies and procedures.
Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
Required to make home visits and attend periodic office meetings.
Must have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and agency-required liability insurance.
Average number of patients per day: 5-8.
Each type of visit and activity hold a different point value.
Will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day, equating to roughly 6-8 points.
May reach out to discuss floating to a nearby clinic if financial needs are not met due to low patient census.
Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc.
First-timers are not accepted; recent specialty experience is required.
Weekend requirements vary per location and profession.
On-call requirements vary per location and profession.
Travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic is expected.
Mileage is reimbursed at the standard rate.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
No pending licenses are accepted; a license must be in hand.
Candidates must be open to traveling within a specified mileage radius.
All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment.
There are no guaranteed hours with this contract.
Weekly productivity expectations are to hit 30 points, which equates to 40 hours per week.
All overtime must be pre-approved.
