Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 year of Hospice Experience License: Must have active RN license Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and Oasis within the last 6 months. Description: Provides and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders based on agency policies and procedures. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Requires home visits and periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients seen per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. No prior experience in this specialty is accepted; recent specialty experience is required. Weekend requirements vary by location and profession. On-call requirements vary by location and profession. Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles. Mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate. Compensation is from one patient home to another; the commute to and from the first and last patient is not billable. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. No pending licenses will be accepted; a license must be in hand. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Clinician must meet weekly productivity expectations. Expectations are that the clinician will accept every patient on their schedule regardless of distance. Delayed and incomplete documentation impacting patient care may result in a cancellation of the contract. No guaranteed hours are provided with this contract. All overtime must be pre-approved.
