Travel Nurse RN - Home Health - $2,505 per week in Torrance, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of home health experience with high-volume case loads. First-time travelers not accepted. 1 year of previous home health travel experience required. General travel experience not accepted. License: Must hold a valid and active license. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Recent OASIS experience is required. Candidates will be required to take an OASIS exam to be eligible for an interview. Familiarity with Mobility (G-Section, GG Section, and M18) will be covered. Description: The home health department operates with an hourly pay model, not a per-visit model. Travelers must start on time as stated in their contract. Weekend availability is required: one full weekend and one additional weekend shift every six weeks. Territory mileage radius covers 5-20 miles, with mileage reimbursed according to IRS standards. Daily patient caseload of 5-6 patients is expected. Travelers are required to work the entire 8-hour shift unless otherwise approved. Daily tasks include assessment, care management, and documentation. Expect three starts of care in a 12-hour period. Strong assessment skills in heart failure are necessary. Wound care duties are required, including dressing changes and management. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, squat, and climb stairs without assistance. Flexibility is necessary for scheduling; no scheduling requests will be accommodated. All cases must be managed with adherence to infection control precautions and routine protocols. Accurate charting is essential, including proficiency in the new OASIS D charting. Previous experience with care for adults and geriatrics is preferred with a focus on various patient diagnoses.
