Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of home health experience with high-volume case loads. Previous home health travel experience required. License: Must hold a valid state nursing license at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Recent OASIS experience is required. Additionally, candidates will be required to take an OASIS exam to be eligible for an interview. Familiarity with the Oasis E11 charting is essential. Description: Responsibilities include caring for 5-6 patients per day. Our home health department does not follow a per visit model; it utilizes an hourly pay model. Travelers are required to start promptly at the designated shift time. Once a shift begins, travelers must work the entire duration unless approved by management. Daily tasks may include performing wound care and changing PICC line dressings. Strong assessment skills are expected, especially for patients with heart failure. Travelers must be adaptable and willing to provide care for a variety of patient diagnoses. Candidates should expect to see 5-6 patients daily and may need to complete starts of care as needed. The role requires the ability to manage mobility and maintain patient safety throughout the shift. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including weekends every four weeks. On-call duties may also be required. Compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures is essential. Additional responsibilities may include medication administration and management, as well as conducting assessments.
