Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Adult Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 37.5 Experience: Minimum of two years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting or Post Acute Facility. The most recent experience should be within the past year. License: Client RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS (for specific locations) Must-Have: - Home Care Nursing experience - Physical assessment skills - Medication administration proficiency - Wound care & Infection control knowledge - IV therapy capability - Post-operative care experience - Patient education skills - Telemetry monitoring knowledge Description: Duties may include but are not limited to: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Evaluating medical information and providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed and interpreting and recording measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. This position requires experience providing care in patients' homes. The nurse will manage 4-8 patients a day and is required to work every other weekend.
